    weird lobe colouration

so i have been at 5/8th (16mm) since july, about six months now, and have recently noticed some strange colouration on the inner lobe (the skin that actually touches the wearable of my plugs). it seems to be a noticeably pinker colour than my outside lobe. now it can't possibly be an allergic reaction because i strictly only wear glass plugs. as far as oils used, when i stretched i used neosporin for lube, now i, once a day, use either jojoba or emu. emu seems to do wonders for my lobes so i really hope it's not the cause of all this. if you can think of any reason as to why the inside part of my lobe could be a pink colour, where as my lobe is matching more with my overall skin colour, then that would be great.

How long have you been stretching? If you went too fast that could account for any discoloration. Some people's lobes are slightly pinkish anyway though. Ever since I had mine scalpelled they were a bit pinker than the outside, but I know they are heathly and cared for. What is the climate like where you live? With the onset of the cold, my lobes get dry and irritated way faster than when its warm. Having a cold glass plug in your ear will likely cause irritation, I'd switch to some kaos or organics if you can.

Will knit/crochet for pretties. Seriously, try me. I like shiny ^.^

i would say it's been the last four or five years, with various downsizings and then stretching back up. but the last time i downsized was over a year ago. it's relativly humid most of teh year round, and hot. but it has been getting colder recently and like the og post said this is a recent thing. i'd like to switch but i can never wear Kaos for more than a few hours and organics never really panned out well for me, i suppose i could try again though. but as of right now glass is my best bet and most metals cause allergic reactions.

Mine look pink when i take my plugs out, but after a few hours they look normal.  Ive been taking them out while im at work just to let them 'breathe' and when i get home they look normal.  Maybe it has something to do with the pressure on the skin?

Do your plugs go back in easily after an hour?  Leave em out a little longer.  My ears love fresh air.

I was also going to suggest going plug-less for a while throughout the day... or even better, overnight if you can.

    6g lobes. left half sleeve.
