To those of you with double nostril piercings, did you get them done at the same time? I've been interested in getting two for a long time now, and am wondering about the procedure itself. I feel like getting them together would increase the chance of them being symmetrical, but I'm wondering if it would be harder (or more uncomfortable) to heal two piercings instead of one.

I originally had only one nostril piercing and never intended to get a set. About two or three weeks after originally getting it done, I realized the asymmetry was absolutely unbearable so I went back to get the other side done at once.

Go for both at the same time. You won't have to go through the healing period more than once.

Hey I have them myself and I would say that as far as pain goes it's not that bad.

It's like any other cartlidge piercing really. Now if you get them at the same time the 2d one will hurt more by far then the first.

Mine did anyway, the whole I was aware of the pain coming made it worse the 2d time. 

Mine were not placed symmetrical  as I didn't want them to be  so I could have a hoop in one. If your wanting them done perfect in line go to someone who really knows what they are doing! make sure you check where they mark you yourself before they do an be sure your happy with it. Healing was not that bad with 2 for me. just make sure you keep it clean an don't touch them! I can't say that enough! DO NOT TOUCH THEM! Dirt can get in them an next thing you know you have the evil "bump" on your nose. I've had mine for about 2 years now an I still love them. Keep in mind that like with any mods people will poke fun at you and even treat you like less of a person for having piercings on your face. Many jobs won't let you work with them as well. It's something you really have to want and love to get.

 

Mine were both pierced at the same time and i had no problems at all.

my 1st set were done 2 years apart, and they matched pretty well.

my second set was done at 8g, and they match pretty darn well. i dont think healing was that bad since i was already healing on person. and i am a believer in the LIMA meathod

I'm going to be honest, I've never faced any adversity or even so much as a negative comment concerning my nostril piercings. I suppose it all depends how conservative your town/city/village may be. I'm only saying this because I don't want the OP to think that getting these is automatically an awful social stigma. There's a chance that some issues may arise (as with any other piercing), but it's not a definite nor required condition.

honestly most people never even knew i had my nostrils pierced when they were 18g bc the jewelry i wore was so tiny.

Amen, though I had always planned on getting two but at the time I was underage and my dad would not allow me to get both. Now I have both and I love them. Neometal labrets are very comfy to wear in them too, you don't have to worry about bends in screws. 

agreed!!! neometals are a nostril godsend!! i wore nose screws for years and after trying neometal i would never go back. well prior to having large gauge nostrils. now all i wear are skins

I orginally just had my left nostril pierced and after getting my septum done I realized that I needed symmetry. I am really looking forward to trying the neometal labret posts!

 Hm I disagree.. I had bought those neometal labret thigns for my nose and, the bottom part fell out.. i lost it and was left with the pin.. and that kept falling out so i retired that nostril piercing.. but will get it repierced at 8g soonish.

 You should have bent the ball more.

 If you buy them separately they absolutely need to be bent before you put them in.

 my first set of neometal for my nostrils was bought via baf.  sadly I could never bend them properly to have them stay in.  When I finally got to a piercer they let me know why I had problems.  I was sent 16g ends instead of 18g.  It's possible that happened with you as well.

 

and back on topic.  I had one side done for 7 years before I got the other side done. perfectly lined up.  wonderful!  until the jewelry came out in the night after only 2 month's healing and refused to allow jewelry back in.  The repiercing is pretty damn close to the same spot but just enough off that I don't get asked if it is one piece of jewelry anymore :)

If I had to do it over again, def both at the same time.
