    silicone question.

Okay. I'm trying to plan my stretching out and i want to wait atleast 2 1/2 months between 2g and 0g since that's like 2mm or 3 mm. I was wondering if I had steel plugs in my ears for like two weeks or so, would it be okay to switch to silicone for a few hours or so. If I was going out, I would want to change it, but i wouldn't keep the silicone in 24/7. So is that okay?

    Re: silicone question.

i would wait closer to 4 months instead of 2 1/2, first off.

are you wanting to wear silicone in 2g or 0g? i'm a tad confused...

oh ok. :] um i wanted to wear silicone when my lobes were stretched to 2g. im just not sure if i should wait until my lobes heal or can i put them in like 2 weeks after i stretched from 4g. and i wouldn't wear silicone all the time, just probably a few hours or so out of the day.

If you're not even at 2g yet, I wouldn't even have 0g in my brain.

aha. I just wanted to plan ahead, because i want to make sure I don't skip sizes or anything. And I want to know everything about the stretching process before I actually get to pretty large sizes.

     Then don't stretch 2-0. Stretch 2 to 1 to 0.

    And wait longer.

ok. but what i really want to know is if I stretch to 2g with steel plugs and tapers, a week or so later, can i put in silicone plugs in for a few hours? Or will I get a blowout of tear something?

I waited like 1 month after stretching before putting in silicone earskins and did not have a problem.  Just use lots of oil to ease insertion/removal.

you want to give your lobes time to adjust and heal to the new size... a month does not seem unreasonable to me.

My lobes tend to get irritated if I wear silicone plugs too soon after stretching - I think it's the insertion that does it. I usually wait at least six weeks or so after stretching before I'm able to put in silicone plugs without irritating my fistula, and even then I use lots of jojoba oil so they slip in easier.
