    What happend?

I recently went up to an 8 gauge with these plugs that have a screw in taper, they went in very easy with little to no resistence. The next day I decided to put in soome clear 8 gauge plugs that had an O ring on each side, when I put them in some skin had pushed out through the hole from the inside, It happend on both ears right away but the skin was really really small and it kinda just hung there. Me being an idiot ripped it off, Although the peices of skin that were taken off were so small they didnt even look like skin, it bleed a little bit on each ear and I have been doing SSS 2 to 3 times a day. I also had went out and bought steel plugs so they would be less likely to become infected.

Can someone please tell me what happend?
I dont think it was blowout but I also dont know.

ALSO I had gotten my ears peirced to a 16, This was 2 and a half months ago. BUT every time I streched everything went in perfect with no resistence, I also never skipped sizes. I know I should have waited longer for my ears to heal but I was an idiot

Your first mistake was stretching too soon and too fast... You probably pushed out part of the fistula, which would be a blow out. Also changing jewelry that soon, on top of all the other stress and trauma you've put them though... Id downsize back to the size you were pierced at and wait at least 6 months to stretch...

    Im just that awesome!

I just put them back in and now remembered how much I didnt like them, BUT Should I still be doing my SSS?

And by downsizing back to my peirced size will this make the blowout go away? I have some 22 gauge diamond earrings I could put in if it would help heal.

What did you put back in?

That diamond earring probably won't help, so I suggest ordering some titanium at 16g... that should help to shrink your blow-out or whatever it is because you take pressure off and circulation helps promote healing.

You should definitely keep doing SSS until your wounds close up, and do not take the jewelry in and out. It'll only prolong your healing process.

    Re: What happend?

I had put back in my surgical steel 16 gauges in, BUT earlier today the back had unscrewed and fallen off somewere at school so I the only thing I had that was close to a 16 was a 14 acrilic plug, I know its not good to have those in but there the only things I have that are small besides my diamond earings.

The SSS are helping a ton though, Everytime I check my ears they seem to be looking and feeling better.

What would a blowout look like? I know how they look with bigger sizes but I have never seen a small one. There is no more skin being pushed out the back like there was with the 8 gauges so im thinking it might have been so small it went away.

And by doing all of this to let my lobes heal with this make whatever blowout there was go away?

How will I know when im fully healed?

I suggest taking them out and letting them heal.  You only have less than 3 months dedicated to stretching.  Just start over in several months.

    1/2" lobes

don't use anything that screws on and off. external threading will definitely harm your fistula.

try searching for "blow-outs" and you will see that you don't want your lobes to look that way.

we won't be able to tell you when you are fully healed, but once there is a mistake such as tearing or blow-outs, it is recommended that you wait it out for 6 months or longer to stretch again.
