So today I went out and got a Visa Gift Card thing because I wanted to order some things on BAF.  I went and got a $25 card, came home, and was pumped to order some eyelets and emu oil.  I filled everything out and after the order history it said card declined.

I went and checked the vanillavisa.com page and it said it would work online okay.  Then I saw a link to register my card.  On that link it said that this would be needed in order to order things online.  So I registered my card by entering my name and street address, which is what I put on my order here at BAF.  Went back and tried again, it still said card declined.

I googled and some people said these would not work online, but then other's said they're fine.

So im not sure.  Did I just completely waste $28?

I had the same problem. I used to use those before I had a credit card and sometimes they would work, while other times they didn't. I also see a few topics about this popping up here and there on the forums so you might want to try searching those. Anyway, with mine i basically went back to the store where I bought it and they were nice and "returned" it (used that card to buy another one of the same value and waived the activation fee). In short, it should work, but you may have bought a defective card. 

If Im using a Visa or whatever gift card online, I buy a gift certificate with it, Ive found they're declined sometimes if you dont... and then go from there...

 Just got an email and Seth put it through manually.  So all is well.  A+ for BAF! :)
