Here's a piece I did for a gallery. It was meant to be a study of Caravaggio's "Taking of Christ" but my professor liked it and wanted to put it in the gallery. I didn't have time to finish (and fit) the whole thing so I just took the other half of the image and painted it on the bottom half, and just had fun with colorful black letters and calligraphy. 30x40 canvas painted with acrylic paint.
And here's another study from another Caravaggio painting. And let me emphasize the concept of "study", not really after masterpiece-quality at the moment. And sorry for the low quality, didn't have a good camera at the time.18x24 acrylic.
