When I look for dangling/hanging designs to wear through my eyelets, I usually look for something that has a large enough of a diameter to fit through and around the eyelets and the opening area. If the opening area is too small, it will not fit in, however there are some jewelry that you can carefully bend to to open it a bit and put it through the eyelets and then carefully bend it back in place to close it.I also look at the shape and where most of the weight is on the dangling/hanging jewelry. If it looks pretty balanced, chances are it will stay in place without any problems. I've just started looking around for hanging designs lately to wear in my lobes (they're currently 7/8" right now) and those are the key points I am using myself personally to find pieces that will work out for me, even when I move back up to 1". Hope this helps :)
