O,k so here i go,

So i've streched mine out to 1/2 inch (13mm) and i've never done the whole oil or massage thing, but i've always wondered, when i strech, i just get a spike (taper) and put a little Vas on it and glide that sucker in, leaving it in for a few days, then change to a plug, i've never had a problem with blow outs or spliting, or being uneven. What i want to know is  is it possible to do it that way?. ( i have skipped gauges once, it stung a little (but nothing worse then getttin' most my tattoo)

Since you just said that you've done it this way with no adverse effects, then it clearly IS possible but not recommended and probably quite lucky.  

that is the same way i did it with no problems and i am at 00g but it is deffinatly not reconmended and i have been doing oil massages to reduce scar tissue.

so what i am tring to say is that you are lucky and you should probably be doing oil massages 

Massages (with/without oils) will do wonders for the circulation and overall health of your lobes.

Try the recommended stretching guide by the pros and you'll have happier piercings. And don't leave those tapers in! That's asking for trouble.
