I've noticed quite a few people who have had their replies missing when they quote someone else. I try to fix it when possible but figured I would share how to have this not happen.
when quoting someone make sure that the end code for the quote is on the same line at the end of the text quoted. Hit return and start typing on the next line. When I fix them, that's usually all I have to do to make them work.
hope this helps.
I just tried Quinnn's suggestion of making sure the [/ quote ] bracket was on the same line, and I was able to quote with < p > tags.
sometimes it doesn't show immediately. but if you refresh or clear your cache it shows.
if anything just delete the part quoted. or put it in regular quotation marks.
Lindsey:I'd like to add that I get mine to work by deleting all code from the quote, leaving just the text. If there are any < p > or < br > tags or anything else within the quote brackets, it won't show my reply.
