So I just got my septum pierced like a week ago and while I was cleaning it today I realized that it's just a bit crooked

I'm wearing a 14g retainer and its flipped up, I've only flipped it down once [which I know that I shouldn't have]

Is there anythig wrong with it being a little crooked, does it really matter?

Cause if it's not really a big deal then I was just going to leave it be

it could be the retainer is crooked or it's swollen or it could be that it really is crooked. just let it heal and if it is really crooked go back to your piercer

Whether it matters or not is completely up to your discretion. My septum was fairly crooked when pierced, and simply leaving a retainer flipped up for awhile straightened it out a good deal. It still is a tad bit crooked, but not to the point that it bothers me. Give it some time to situate itself. :)

i had the same problem but my solution was the opposite of Nebulas.  mine was pierced crooked and i have a deviated septum.  it didnt straighten out until i left it down for a few weeks after healing it turned up. now its much better.

My septum was slightly crooked when it was pierced.  I have a nervous habit of pulling on it, so after a few weeks it just straightened out.  Stretching it also helps -- heavier jewelry and a larger hole can help it hang directly down.
