    shipping from fellow canadian

I was looking on canada post site to figure out how much it would cost to send a couple of plugs to other province, U.S and other country but the site is not really clear. I could only find prepaid padded envelopped that cost 10$(can), and 12$(us).

I know some of you already ship jewelry so, from your experience, how much did it cost you  and for what?

Thank you for your time and experience!

    edit: Maybe I haven't been clear ;)

I am CANADIAN  asking other Canadian their experience shipping thing to other places....

I buy padded envelopes from walmart (I think it's a few bucks for a pack of 6). It's only ever cost me between $1-3 dollars to ship some plugs. I've shipped to elsewhere in the states, Australia, and I think Canada. It's been awhile since I've done so though (+6 months).

Current mods: 7/16" lobes, secondary standard lobes, 14g conch, 14g orbital, 14g industrial, 4g tongue, 14g navel, 14g nipples, 6g septum (Septum Klub 2K7!!1!), two happy tattoos

Living here, I can tell you that Canadian Post is a PITA. The sendings always get stopped at the borders for a while, then continue their way. I once paid for the express mail (1 week max) and it took as long as the normal mail, 3 weeks.

So on, I would recommend you to just put your plugs in a stuffed enveloppe, put some stamps on it (If I remember well, it is 2 or 3 0,52$can stamps to get from Canada to USA) and put it in that red (?) mailbox. (They're red here, and yours?). It will take as long as if you paid 10 or 20 bucks, but at a cheaper fare.

It should be under $2 for you to ship a bubble mailer anywhere in Canada, as long as it doesn't exceed certain specifications. I think it has to be able to fit through mail slots. :)

I'm not sure if my brother updated his little price guide here (the prices have been going up)

     but here's what it says:

    Stand lettermail - up to 30g $.52

Stander lettermail - over 30 and up to 50g $0.93

    Other lettermail - up to 100g $1.10

Other lettermail -  over 100 and up to 200g $1.86

Other lettermail - over 200 and up to 500g $2.55

hope this helps! (when I ship plugs, because I sent really big stuff out, my package usually is in the 100g to 500g range)

I live in Ontario, and I've been sending quite a bit of jewelry out lately. 90% of the time it costs me $1.92 to send it, whether it be to the US or within Canada. If the package is very flat, it'll be less expensive though.

Current: 1/2" lobes, 10g conch, 16 tragus, 14 tongue, 18g nostrils, 14 nipples, 4g navel, 14g inverse navel, various tattoos

    Retired: 14g sternum, 14g navel, 16g labret, 10g helix

Future: 4g helix punch, more tattoos
