    Wood for custom Plugs?

So I love this one type (err. phenonenon) of wood... and I would love for a pair of 2g (goal sized) plugs, and there are some bad to wear woods out there. So I was wondering:

    A. How do you figure out if a random wood sample is wearable or not? (toxic/safe)

    B. Could I have custom Bird's Eye Maple plugs made?? (obviously they would be rather expensive; if this is do-able)

and any suggestions as to Who to go to/through,  BAF? Company~ IAM contact?  Company~direct contact?

first person that springs to mind is Jared from onetribe. Their site is onetribe.nu; or he is IAM:onetribe and is always happy to answer my questions over iam :)

I would have no clue about different woods! But Jared seems to know a lot.

If Jared doesn't know, he knows how to find out. He and several other woodworkers have studied the chemical compostitons of some woods and their effects on the human body.

I'm glad I came across this thread. My grandfather is a wood worker and I'm wanting to asking him to try his hand at making me some plugs. :)
