How long have you been at your current size, and at what rate did you stretch? Some people experience somewhat "raw" looking fistulas naturally, where they are more pink-ish in color.

Also, what kind of jewelry are you wearing? O-rings? Sensitivity to a material could also be a cause, if there indeed is a problem.

I don't think it should look like that. my ears only look like that if they are super pissy because of the type of jewelry that I have in. You might be allergic to some materials. what did you have in  your ears before this pic was taken? how long ago did you stretch? did you wait the appropriate time frame between sizes?

Do you oil them regularly? It could have been dry and irritated. Also do they normally look like that or is it something you recently noticed?

My 4g holes are generally skin color, but my 8g holes are usually pink.. And no, they're not irritated. So, it's possible for it to naturally be like that.

Otherwise, like others said, they may be dry or irritated. Do you do oil massages, etc?

My lobes get red everytime I take out my jewelry, but after a few minutes of the jewelry being out they are fleshed colored.
