so i bought some 16 and 14 size gauges and i have a friend who told me she went straight form a peircing into a 16, said it wouldn't be bad if I did the same.

so after i pierced my ears, i tried the 16 and it wouldn't go through.

I really dislike the studs i have now....like a lot and i just want to start the strecthing.

how long should i wait before the initial stretch?

 6 months minimum.

I'd also suggest that you take out whatever jewelry you have in your ears and go to a professional piercer. They can properly align the holes for optimal stretching and they'll be able to get you quality initial jewelry that is safe for healing.

if you were pierced with a gun, you could just take them out now and let them heal up. once healed, go to a real piercer and have them pierce you at whatever size you want [up to 4g i think]. :)

 Yeah, Julie108's idea is a good one. =] If you really want your ears at a larger gauge now, you should get them pierced at a larger gauge. Keep in mind, however, that once you're pierced at that size you have to be patient and let it heal. Just PLEASE don't start stretching too early, and allow your ears to properly heal.
