I have decieded to get my nipples pierced. I went in to the piercers the other day and set everything up. I got marked up, sat down and then they were about to do the piercing free-hand but I was way too nervous. My heart was pounding like crazy, I couldnt stop breathing rapidly. Nor could I calm myself down after trying for 15 minutes. At that point, I gave up and went home.

My question is this: I was going to get pierced with 14 gauge Curved Barbells. All the photos of nipple piercings that I have seen are with either straight barbells or CBRs. Would there be any advantage to having curved barbells?

 Personally I like my curved barbells over the straight. I can't tell you if there's any particular advantages, though..

 And, try not to worry. The piercing itself is a breeze ;) Honestly I didn't even feel it..

 imo curved barbells were hell in a fresh nip piercing.  they flopped around way too much.  more than cbrs and circular barbells.  Straight barbells stayed put and didn't put any pressure on any part of the piercing hole like curved did.

Straight barbells are much much much better than anything curved, be it a curved barbell or a captive bead ring. Like quinnn said, curved jewelry moves around way too much and will make healing take much longer.  

 So straight barbells it is then...

As for getting the piercings. I will be waiting until my next pay check (which is in 2 weeks), that way im not flat broke after getting the piercings done.

I know I dont have to worry and that there really isnt anything to afraid of. I just think that day was not the best to get pierced on.

PS... I doubt there wont be any problems, but any objections to using bio-plast barbells (from BAF) when getting pierced? Cheers.

Is the bioplast externally threaded?  

 I had curved barbells both times I had them pierced and it took so long to heal that they started migrating both times.  The rings moved around quite a bit, which was painful!

my experience hearing my nips with cbrs was pretty easy. also one of my friends whohas had her nipples pierced for awhile says she find curved barbells much more comfortable than straight barbells. youre call though. quinn makes a good point, im sure healing with a straight barbell would be even easier

totally go for straight!  CBRs do tend to catch on every little thing!!  and the piercing itself isn't that bad!
