    Medusa

Im getting my medusa periced on the 22nd and I was wondering how long it takes to heal? The job im going to be working while Im at college this fall wont let me have it in and I was just going to take it out when I worked. Its going to be about a month and a half untill I need to take it out and keep it out for work, will that be too early?

Way too early to take out the jewelry for an extended period of time. Have you considered getting pierced and healing with a quartz plug? It's one way to downplay the piercing.

If you aren't allowed piercings while working at your job, I'd hold off on the piercing until you relocate to a different position in the future. Constant jewelry changes would be very irritating to a fresh hole.

i don't know if this is a bad idea with a *fresh* piercing, but you could get a transparent piece of jewelry and put a dab of foundation [ or concealer ] on it. as long as it isn't touching the skin around the peircing, it could really hide the jewelry well. ive done it with retainers in my lips.

you don't want to be changing the jewelry at all for like, at least 4 months after getting it done.  or just wait until you're in the clear.

You're going to run into a lot of problems if you try taking the jewelry out for work like that. Retainers don't make it invisible either, I found that wearing a clear retainer still caught and reflected the light, not as flashy as a tiny gem, but I felt as thought I might as well have been wearing the gem.
