My lobes are currently at a 2g, and I'm going to stretch to a 0g soon. I've been relying on double flared glass plugs (I can usually find some with really small flares, so stretching with them hasn't been a problem, I've been also using the taping method)   I realize that it would be a really bad idea to try to insert a double flared 0g plug into a 2g hole, because thats a 2mm difference, without the flare. ouch. I like the look of no flare plugs, but those mean black o-rings have always made my ears crusty and swollen and really unhappy. My body loves silicone eyelets, so I've been trying to find some black silicone o-rings, and they seem to not exist... I've seen lots of clear and colored silicone o-rings, but I like the way the black ones look better.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

 bodyartforms used to have them years ago.  but I havne't seen them in a long time.  How about the black shaped orings (stars and such).  if you don't like the shape you can always cut off the offending parts.

 or what would be the easiest is to buy single flair plugs and then wear the clear silicone o-rings on the back, then you don't see the o-rings at all and your ears are happy that you didn't put a double flair in right away :) Plus it will look like a double flair plug from the front 

 I actually bought some of the black star o-rings yesterday and I hope they work!
