I stretched my ears to a 4g and  have been using vitamin a&d ointment.

I am not having any trouble with the healing process, but just wanted to know if it was okay to use

What are the ingredients in the ointment? Try and avoid anything with fragrance or unnecessary ingredients. And of course if it, at any time, begins irritating your lobes, stop usage. 

 I'd avoid using A&D ointment on a piercing... since most skincare ointments are not meant to be used on puncture wounds.  A&D contains petroleum which seals the wound rather than absorbing into the skin.

Were I you, I'd switch to an oil like jojoba or emu even olive.
