    going to a 0 gauge...

right now im at a 2 gauge and it's been over a month(so its been a long enough wait in between stretches) ive tried everything to get the dang 0 gauge taper into my ear! someone told me to take a hot shower and then put the taper in but i still cant even put it half way into my ear. i would just shove it in but i know that thats not healthy and could rip my lobes. so i guess my question is what should i do? are there any other suggestions or does the difference of a 2 and 0 zero just mean i have to shove it into my ear

     give me any suggestions

    thanks(:

Travis is right. You actually want to wait at least 4 months before you stretch to 0g. Every stretch so far for you has been a 1mm size difference, and the 2g to 0g stretch is a 2mm jump, and therefore much harder, so you need to give your ears a lot more time to heal and loosen up. What a lot of people do to make that stretch easier is either tape up gradually using teflon tape(if you're interested in that method, we can hook you up for more info) or go to 1g first (you can get 1g plugs from BAF that are really great for this)

And thank you for not shoving. Really. Your ears will thank you for it. The more you force your ears to stretch now, the less easy they will be to stretch later because shoving creates a lot of scar tissue.

my advice - stay at two and wait a while longer, massage with some oil or other substance that will make your ears happy, and find some 1g jewelry. i know gorilla glass at some point made 1g stuff because a friend of mine has a pair of 1g claws from them. if not theres definately something here on BAF for you

i will gladly take pics for you. i am off tomorrow and will take the. and yes i know that bloo, pussm pain does not make a healthy stretch and i had none of those. now going that fast may would have an affect when i get to a bigger size, but i dont plan to go any larger any way and my lobs feel fine with no scare tissue

Travis, when you post those pictures, would you mind making a new thread for them? I'd like to keep this one on topic for Danielle. Speaking of which, Danielle, how are things going?

    Going back on topic :]

Anyways, a month isn't long enough for the 2G to 0G stretch. Trust me.A 2MM jump is biiiig.

All i can say is wait at least 2-3 months more, and if you can't be patient, i guess you can GRADUALLY stretch with teflon tape aka plumbers tape. There are a lot of tutorial-ish instructions on BAF Forums about Teflon tape.

It's worth it rather blowout the poop outta your ear :]

well it took me about 4 or 5 months to go from an 18g-2g so far it hasnt been painful at all. but i was just like wow? what happened lol why doesnt the 0g fit? it was weird but yeah i think i'll either try the taping method or buy the 1g.

if i buy the 1g, then after about a month with my 0g tapers go into my ears easier??

oooh yeah and does anyone know exactly how to do the taping method? what kind of tape do i use, how do i apply it, and how much to a wrap around the taper?

Re: going to a 0 gauge...

you use ptfe tape (also known as plumber's tape found near the toilet seats at wal*mart or in hardware stores for about a buck).  It is self sticking.  you wrap it as smoothly as possible around your plug.  One or two wraps every few days and oil the hell out of it (I prefer emu oil when using tape but others have used other oils with success) because the tape can be very drying and can stick to your lobe.  It helps if you have calipers to measure the size of your jewelry as you are taping to know excatly what size you are at.  You can usually find digital calipers for under $10.
