Another thing... Where are we going to be having the event?  

So, so far, we've got... 8 people coming in from out of state?

It's going to be a lot easier on me if it's in July. I guess I could do either of the other dates, but it would be tougher on me financially and normal-life-wise.

But Sam's a butthole, so she won't go along with the July one. *poke*

Supposedly the 5th largest biker rally in the country. This won't affect me in the slightest but thought I would give you guys a heads up. 

Holy crap June IS next month. That freaks me out just a little.

I just think if we're going to be having an event like this, we need to give more notice than just a few weeks. I think that's why last year's worked out so well, we planned everything out in May for September. I know people have been trying to plan it out for quite some time now, but obviously it hasn't been working out. It doesn't seem like anyone has any idea of where we're going, where we're staying, what we're doing, etc.

I'm off the second weekend, but getting that Monday off might be a problem. 

 

I'm not being a butthole emma, I'm just not missing my kid's 3rd bday. Maybe you'll understand when you have a child. But if that excludes me from attendance, then so be it.

 

I also think it's a good idea to set it out a little farther, making the August date seem more ideal. I just can't go after school starts because I will be going 5 days a week and having copious amounts of coursework to do.

We tried to set it up in January but everyone thought it was too far away.  *shrug*

And Sam, it's not like she told you to tell your kid that their birthday was a differet day because they would never notice the difference. 

I still think a september weekend (like last year) would be good. 

I could do a weekend in September... Im going to try to set up my classes on t/r like I did this year... And it would give us cheaper lodging, cheaper travel, and plenty of time to save moolah...

And I agree the later dates are looking better to me now too. I graduate in June so things are a bit topsy turvy until school gets settled.

*sigh* it kills me that this is looking more and more like it won't work out.

I'm going to be busy moving during the summer, and I'm not sure how long it will take me. Chances are I will be able to make the last two dates, but only if we decide soon. I just really don't think I can make it if we pick June, it's too close and too busy of a time for me.

And I deeeefinitely won't be able to do anything between mid-August 08 and Summer '09. New school requires lots of attention and work.

Anybody else have any plans to attend? Reply by tomorrow. Otherwise you wont be considered in the planning. you can still come if you find out later but you wont be used to decide when where what we do

I would also be very much pro-Septemberish, but pretty much any date works for me, excluding a few days in August. 

 

 Id prefer to do one in September... Id have plenty of time to save some extra money, and maybe find a new job that wont give me hell about wanting to take time off (they're nazis about it)... Im gonna be super strapped for cash if we do June... And Kit, I can hug you all I want when I move to Colorado, well when either of us get time to hang out! :D
