     anybody know what works well to spike up a mohawk? i suck and i can never get it spiked

    2x 1in lobes, 3x 14g eyebrow, 12g snakebites, 2g septum, red barcode tattooed on my right wrist, evil jesus fish on left leg, edward lee skull dude on left leg, memorial tattoo on right calf, Freddy Krueger portrait on my right forearm, and the word freak tattooed on the inside of my lip

    Gelatin! And hairspray. :)

    gelatin? never heard of that. i may try

    I hear watered down Elmers glue works wonders. Might be annoying to wash out, though. 

    MODS: 4g lobes, 16g anti-tragus, 12g septum, two tattoos

    You haven't heard of gelatin? I think it's called gelatin even in English (I'm Swedish) or maybe gelatine. Usually something you have in food.

    I have had success with this product.  How tall is your mohawk?  When I had mine it was only about 3-4" at its tallest.

    I do not have a mohawk, but i have put my hair (and ex boyfriends) into some prettty crazy postitions. This works really well...got2b glued http://www.drugstore.com/templates/brand/default.asp?brand=31681

    6g, 14g x2 lobes, 6g left inner conch, nipples.
    goal: 00g lobes, 6gconch, 14g lobes.

    ah. I have put my friends hair into a mohawk (over 12" high) & it took a straightener & lots of reallly good hair spray. you could attack someone with that thing.

    i have used the got2b glued stuff before, but it didnt work

     My ex always used watered down elmer's glue for his spikey hair. It was ridiculously firm. 

    Current mods: 7/16" lobes, secondary standard lobes, 14g conch, 14g orbital, 14g industrial, 6g tongue, 14g navel, 14g nipples, 10g septum (Septum Klub 2K7!!1!), two happy tattoos

    Well, it's good to use if you want to have a mohawk, it really gets the mohawk to stand up...but it's very hard to get out of the hair... :P

    People I know have had sucess with backcombing their mohawk and using hair spray :). As a daily backcomber and hairsprayer myself (no mohawk just big 80s hair) I can say with good shampoo and conditioner it's easy to wash out the tangles so it's not knotty. :)

    Greg from Mudvayne (the red and black dude) is famous for using Jello to hold up his spikes...

    but yes then there is the punk staple.. elmers glue

     

    and an old friend used egg whites for his ginormus hawk ... he'd paste it in and let it dry... it worked wonders

    Elmers gel glue works pretty well too... I tried to spike my hair one time when I was 13... It stuck up 5 inches and the other 8 inches just hung straight down...
