First, some background info.
I went there this past Friday to see how much it would be and to see when I could get it done. They told me to come back Tuesday[4-15-08] because that is the only time that the guy that does piercings is there.
I went and first off, I asked the most obvious question...is it going to hurt. and he was like YES, It's going to hurt, ALOT! which made me even more nervous. turns out, he didn't bring the special clamps with him that you use for septum piercings, but he said he could just do it with a receiving tube, then he went back and checked and he said he didn't have any sterilized circular barbells there that were sterile. So, does that mean that three isn't an autoclave?
wtf.
It was pretty much a horrible experience. I don't think that he was very professional about it. He said he would bring everything with him next week if I wanted to get it done then.
Should I go somewhere else, or is this how piercers usually are? Shouldn't he have tried to make me feel more relaxed, instead of just scaring the shit out of me, cause it was pretty obvious that I was nervous about it.
That guy is only there once a week, cause he moved to another shop in a big city about an hour and a half away, so he only comes in once a week. But I went in Friday, and was told that everything would be ready for me.
I asked if I could get it pierced with a retainer, and he was like You can't pierce something with plastic.
I was like, no a Septum retainer, you know one of those metal ones, kinda u-shaped and they flare out at the ends, he didn't even know what it was.
So, what should I do, find a new place, or am I just so nervous that I'm making something out of nothing?
[I only have my lip pierced, which I did myself, so I was very nervous about the whole thing, and it was made worse while I was there]
