What kind of tape do you use to stretch with? and how do you do it? 

PTFE or Bondage tape.

You can find the first at any hardware store for rediculously cheap. You would probably have to order bondage tape.

You're going to want to wrap a couple of layers around your plugs (keeping it as straight as possible), oil them until they're translucent, oil your lobes, and pop them in. Make sure to keep them oiled really well. Every couple of days you can another layer or two. Just make sure to take all the tape off and re-wrap to keep bacteria away.

ptfe (plumber's) tape can be found in the plumbing section of walmart or any store that has hardware supplies.  Usually for under $1.

 Don't forget the lube.  LOTS of lube.

PTFE (Teflon) tape... can be found in the plumber's asile at your local home improvement store. it goes for any where from 98¢ to $1.50 where I am.

it sticks only to itself by static cling i do believe.. and you wrap 1 layer every 3-6 days, sometimes it's easier to remove all the tape and replace it with the extra layer, just keep track of how many wraps...  I've started a taping chart.. but it's on my lappy at home... if i remember right it takes about 5 wraps roughly to get to the next gauge.

When taping, the best way to know how much tape you need to get to the next size is to buy a set of calipers.  You can usually find a great digital set for $10 on ebay and you can measure how thick your jewelry is very easily. 

like i said I couldn't remember.. i usually measure using jewelry and gauge cards... but thanks for the reccomendation though

the chart's just like my little project since there isn't one on wiki bme, and that truth of a varibles is quite valid, actually I hadn't even thought about differences between like tape 

well im gonna go from a 00 to a 7/16" and then a 7/16" to a 1/2" so how many wraps (on a guess) would you guys say it would take to get from one to the next? and do i have to change the tape everyday? 

 and also could i use tape with a double flare plug?

hmm well

00 = 9mm OR 10mm

7/16= 11mm

1/2=13mm

now that i'm home (lol i had to break into my house btw...) 

it took me 10 wraps to go up 1mm

where as on wiki bme's exteremely tiny taping chart it took them 6 wraps to go up 1mm 

no you don't have to change it everyday, atleast change it atleast once a month though it's whatever your comfy with (you get ALOT on those rolls, mine is 500ft and i'm only using it to stretch my septum)... you can either add 1 layer at a time.. or when you go to add a layer change the whole thing.

 you could... i just don't know how the tape will lay...

cool sounds good and a hell of alot cheaper than buying a taper so i think im going to give it a try. 

it worked really well when i was stretching through the sizes from 1 inch to 1-1/2 inch. it's a good idea to get a set of calipers especially when buying df plugs and custom handmade jewelry that are not always the size they tell you they are.
