How long are you supposed to wait to stretch from a 00 to a 7/16"? what about a 7/16" to a 1/2"? 

until you see air at least (between teh jewelry and your ear) 

well i just gauged up to a 00 about a week ago and i can already put in a double flared plug with ease and pull on them so that there is 'air' between the plug and my lobe. so i was kinda looking for someones best gues, if not a professional answer.

 fine, somewhere between 2 weeks to 2 years to never.  Everyone is different.  You will only know when you can stretch when it is time. watching for air, significant air, is how I judge when it is time to stretch.

By the time you're at 00 you should be able to tell if your lobes are ready. Unless you havent been paying any attention to your body up to this point...

 I've been at 00g since August 25th '07.... (and I got to a 0g on September 25th, '06) ... I've been using Vitamin E rubs, then JoJoba rubs and I still can't stretch up just yet. I'm also very protective of my ears and never want to rip or tear them so I'm extra cautious. 

i would recommend stretching as long as the ear lobe doesn't look raw and looks mostly healed which should be about a month for most people maybe a little sooner for some. i waited about 3 weeks inbetween stretching when i was at the smaller sizes. good luck with your stretching.

1 way to stretch slowly and more people use it to stretch at larger sizes is wrapping your plugs with plummers tape little by little till you get to the size you want.

If there wasn't a tear when you stretched there shouldn't be anything having to "look mostly healed." If there was a tear there should be immediate downsizing. A month inbetween 00g and 7/16" is not nearly enough  time.

 To the OP: I wait until my ears have stretched themselves to the next size. How I know they have done that is when there is a significant amount of "air" between my plug and the top of the hole. If you can gently pull down on your plug and there is a gap between the plug and the top of the hole there is air. Waiting longer has never killed anyone, and your ears will be there forever. Better safe than sorry in my opinion.

it wasn't bad advise. i said as long as it doesn't look raw and mosly healed. i didn't mean it's ok when it looks mostly healed. i've talked to alot of people that didn't wait untill it fully healed and had a tear.  it's always better to wait.

no, it was bad advice.  Never stretch unless the piercing is fully healed. Mostly doesn't cut it. 

At least, never stretch unless the piercing is fully healed if you want nice looking, well placed lobes.  If you want crap, feel free to stretch every other day.

Plus a month usually isn't long enough for most people. Even so, it's always better to wait longer.
