    I'd just completely start the topics over the forever ones can just be recreated. I don't think anyone looks at the first few hundred pages anyway so why waste your time moving them?

    I voted for just moving the post counts and such over. I have no great attachment to the first 300 pages of TOAT or anything, though the stickies should be moved over. I am curious as to what would happen to things like PM's though.

    I know I haven't been here for too long but I agree with everyone, don't bother moving everything over. You guys already do tons with the boards and are busy enough, I wouldn't want to give you even more work over something that's not even that necessary.

    But having the stickies on the new board would be useful, if it's at all possible (:

    I'm totally cool with just moving members and post count... I mean we can start over the pyp and toat. I also think that we should have the stickies moved over tho.

    Good idea, IMO.

    If it's easier on the BAF folks, I say just move users and stuff. Maybe stickied threads (or just the crital ones, like how to stretch.)

    As much as I like TOAST I can't really think of any logical reasons we can't re-start it. The only reasons I can think of stem from emotional attachment to the awesomely long thread.

    name and post-count is good enough for me.
    Current Mods: 4 gauge lobes, 10g septum, 6g vch, 12g smiley, heart, =), and ^ scarifications.

    I am in this box being analyzed, poked, examined. Just as a scientist would do to a disease while looking for a cure. I am being prodded by my friends, family, peers, my world. They are not looking for a cure; I do not have a disease, unless they gave it to me. Unless it is humanity.

    It's not even as long as it used to be. they cut bazillions of posts from it when it got so bloated that it took forever to load. like now. :)

    Well, only moving the users and post counts is our last resort. We are still working on getting quotes from various database companies on how long and how much it will cost us just to move the entire board over. It could be do-able but we're just not sure yet.

    I am in teh process of installing and testing boards as beta. As soon as I get them 100% up and running I plan to move info over and then release it for everyone to use. I'm sure once it's changed over teh chat MAY be down for a week or so while I get it re-connected to the new boards. I'm not sure at this point LOL.

    But if the new boards are better, I guess thats a plus! :) Are they going to look the same, is it going to be totally different?

    I think you can definitely save time and energy with not moving the old stuff over. It's sort of pointless! Starting fresh is a good thing. =)
