Okay, here we goes!

1. My eyebrow isn't healing well. Only the bottom half is really "healed", but the top half is often pissy and red. I'm wearing a NeoMetal Ti 16g 3/8 curve. I've had it for 5 months or so, and the top still scabs, crusts, and is irritated. Should I get it redone or what?

2. I have hypertrophic scarring on my 2 month old conch. I'm wearing a backwards steel labret stud and I use emu oil daily. I'm wondering, is there anything else I should be doing besides SSS and emu oil? And is there a better earbud-friendly jewelry choice?

3. I don't have my tongue pierced yet, but for those who've had it done:

How long did you wear the initial jewelry, and what length was it?

Do you constantly notice it while talking, eating, drinking, etc?

How long did it personally take you to heal?

Post your pictures

post pictures of your piercings, new body jewelry, tattoos, mods.

i just got my new niobium septum retainer today. it's so freakin comfy!

any ladies own the Yes It Hurt T-shirt?

This thread is basically stating some random, useless & interesting information about how your piercings are feeling today!

My new horizontal eyebrow piercings are settling in really well and my 'industrial' is being a bit of a bitch at the moment..

This is a game that I found out about from another forum I'm on. It's called TPBM(The Person Below Me). It's not really a game, more like a way to find out more about people. Here's how it works...I start it out by saying something like....

Me: TPBM likes eating pizza?

Next poster: No I hate it. TPBM needs a shower?

Next poster: Yes! TPBM is stretching a piercing this week?

And so on and so on. It's all about asking random questions! You just keep it going and going.

I'll start with.......TPBM is tired and needs to go to bed?

wierd problem with acrylic

ok so i have been at 2g. for going on a year now. i have always stretched with acrylic tapers (stupid i know) and have never had any problems. acrylic is all i have ever worn. then about 2 months ago i got my first pair of silicone earskins.i love them they are very comfortable and they are the best choice i made. after about a week i switched back to acrylic plug and my ear got crusty and hurts. then when i take the plug out the back of my lobe has clear puss on it. could it just be the o-rings? or did my ears get used to the silicone and now they don't like the acrylic?

thanks

An example:

http://www.bme.com/pierce/11-surface/A91111/high/jniw-nacho-mvds-coastline.jpg

So I'm assuming straight surface piercing, so probably has a good chance of rejection... would probably leave a cleft chin scar type thing? I mean, I usually have stubble anyway so scars would probably be relatively hidden.

Yes, I'm seriously considering this. It's probably one of those that's not advisable but I'm still interested and intrigued on your opinions.

Tragus infection?
About a month ago, I got my tragus pierced. It has been healing fine up until yesterday, when I noticed a fairly large bump above the piercing. I'm not sure if it's hypertrophic scarring, or an infection, or what, and am a little worried, not to mention that it doesn't look too pretty. If anyone has any suggestions on how to remedy this, please let me know!

Constantly, everyday, there are things that come up that really grind my gears. Unlike Peter Griffin, Lindsay Lohan's boobs don't grind my gears, but the lack of a turning signal while driving grinds my gears. Or when you go out of your way to get a Green Tea Frap but the ice machine is broken therefore no Frappucino's for the day.

I have 3 lip piercings. i have snakebites and a center labret. I have had each lip piercing for over a year and never had problems. But when I wear studs it makes the area smell funky and it has a moist residue around the hole. When I wear hoops they dont smell at all.

I was pierced with a curved barbell (with tiny gem balls) back in August. I thought I'd change it to a gem labret stud after it healed but the gem was just too small and barely noticeable. I'm not sure if I like wearing a CBR in it. The one I could get in had too large of a diameter and the smaller one was too small to put in. I'm thinking of a really small twist barbell but can't find any pics of someone wearing one in their tragus. Basically, I need ideas (and pics would be great!) of what other people wear.

Know-It-All Thread

Thread dedicated to random, neat-o, facts and information.

Hi all. 2 weeks ago, I had a 2 month old extremely stubborn 16mm lobe which refused to push up to an 18mm(taper just got stuck and didn't go further in). So I sought professional help at a piercing studio, and the piercer forced it up to an 18 for me. It started to swell and sorta "pulsate" real bad though. I read online that the swelling would go away in about a week, and to take ibuprofen to kill the pain. I did, but it continued to hurt for 3 days, and the swelling showed no signs of reduction. In the end, after 3 days of tolerating the pain, I took out my taper and was shocked to find my lobe totally mangled, bleeding, and spew pus. I left it naked to allow it to heal, and now, 1 week later, my hole has shrunk from 18mm down to 6mm. I didn't expect my lobe to drop so drastically in just a week. Plus, it doesn't seem to have fully healed. Scabs are still forming and are, well, covering up whats left of my hole.

My goal size is 18mm, so now I'm wondering if I can scalpel it straight up to 18mm? Since the artist would be cutting away the flesh, it wouldn't really affect my hole, would it? Or do I have to let it fully heal before I scalpel? Cos I'm worried that the hole would totally close up. I mean, a 12mm drop in a week is a pretty big blow to deal with. Lol.

Help would be appreciated. Thank you (:

what are you listening to?

we are bad kids, and pierced my cartilage with a humungo 16g-ish safety pin...
we have both done it before. never have had a problem.

so, pierced it in august, kept the pin in for 2 days, removed it, and put a 16g stud in.

left it alone for awhile. the whole time. keeping it clean,
and eventually changed over to a barbell(not cure of exact size),
and now it is the middle of november,
and it still hurts for my ear to be touched,
it still gets way crusty during the night/day
and the back looks ugly- kinda swollen STILL o.O
but definitely better from when we first did it.

any suggestions?

The several girls who mentioned the difficulty of healing these were right... the lower microdermal in my sternum is having a VERY hard time with the healing. It has this ugly red bump where the foot/toe is beginning to stick out.

None of the "post" part is showing by itself but the angle is very awkward looking. Any time I try to lay on my stomach (trying to manually separate my breasts to avoid squishing) the lower one becomes slightly sore (without even moving around).

I went to ask my piercer a about a week ago who suggested I just continue the cleaning regimen for maybe another month (since I've only had these about a month so far). And if I still was having trouble I could get it removed completely or removed and re-placed :/ Idk what to think about it, personally...

Self stretching too fast?

Ok so if nobody else has read my other thread, here it is in a nutshell, stretching again after my ears have downsized from ~10mm as far as they can (~6g or so I thought).

I started my stretch again last night with a 6g, both ears just slid right in no pain absolutely no problems. This morning I woke up to find out both plugs, single flair steel eyelets, had passed through my lobes flair side first. After testing by reinserting and such they were very loose and common sense said going to a 4g would not be a problem. Put 4g plugs in, once again no pain both just slid in absolutely no resistance. Just a few moments ago I was laying down watching a movie and then the 4g slid through the same way, flair from the front going thought the back. I check again numerous times and they easily went through.

No I have not tested it yet, but I am willing to bet I could dead stretch to a 2g with little to no resistance. Would that be a good idea? Since my ears have not really had a stretch I could feel, would going to a 2g be a bad idea?

By no means do I want to cause my lobes harm by going too fast, but if smaller plugs are slipping through how much harm could be putting plugs that actually fit be? When would it be wise to stop this? I mean if every few hours my ears self stretch to a new size should I be concerned?

yesterday my friend hugged me and hit my fresh double conch pretty hard. he was kind of fucked up, and i was sober so it was just a recipe for bad. the piercings swelled up to the entire length of the barbell and hurt worse than when i got them pierced. i took some ibuprofen and did my regular sss and it helped with the pain and throbbing but didn't help too much with the swelling.

heres how it looked a day after piercing:

heres how it looked this morning after being bumped last night:

i don't have pictures of the back of my conch before it got hit, but i looked at it in the mirror and stuff and i can assure you it did not look like this. i had at least 1mm of extra barbell.

does anyone have any tips for reducing swelling? or am i just going to have to wait until this subsides? i'm not so much worried about pain as pressure on the piercing.

Will 0g of Product #1208 fit inside an 0G of product #4876?

Hi Myriah,

I'm interested in getting a pair of silver metallic silicon earskins (#4876) in 0G and wanted to know if 0g in the black acryllic segment rings (#1208) will fit inside them. If not then will a 2G of the segment rings work or will i need to size down to a 4G?

Cheers

AJ

P.S. Sorry to hear you've been sick, hope you feel better soon.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I'm finally done converting all our pages at the site. If you find any errors please feel free to post them here and I will look into them :)

As for filters/keyword search/ new restock page... we are currently working on those. They are very complex, but when we release our new system it should be even faster than what we have now. The searching will be better on the keywords as well.

That probably won't be up until next week though...

Sorry for all the trouble and hopefully this will eliminate our problems!

Post your voice!
